Task #1

Task #1: Draw A Stoplight

This is a pretty simple sketch of a stoplight i did just with a graphite pencil. Also this will be the first task I will have completed for both of my art classes. On this sketch I used different lines to create the texture on the entire drawing. Also with the addition of value i gave the drawing some depth.

Visual Arts1 Project 3 Linear Perspective

This is the third project I have done for my Visual Arts class it was a two point perspective drawing. The medium for this piece was simple color pencils, an ebony pencil, and a graphite pencil. The reason i did this half in color and half in black and white, was to show diversity in my piece and have the element of contrast. I learned more about atmospheric perspective while doing this project. Also something I learned while watching my fellow class mates is three point perspective is more trouble than it's worth.

Sculpture 1 Project 2 Elizabeth Murray

This project is the second project i have done for my Sculpture 1 class. The medium for this is water color paints, color pencil, and poster board. What i made was intended this to be was a spiral staircase but it can be interpreted as many different things depending on the viewer. As you can see from just the picture the different segments of the stairs stand alone the only thing that supports each one, excluding the first one that is red, is the main post and the step that is under neath it mimicking an actual staircase.  The base concept for this project was the artist Elizabeth Murray and artists like her that worked within the field of abstract art.

Visual Arts 1 Project 2 Symbolic Representation

This is the second project I have completed for my Visual Arts 1 class. The medium is Graphite and Ebony Pencils. What we as a class did for this project was choose a symbol and show the representational version for the symbol we had chose. As you can see i chose the symbol for a tree and drew a dark forest with barely any light for the representational representation to off set the symbolic representation. While doing this project i was able to learn more about sketching representational object and varying value to develop form.
